Seachem Stability 250ml Bacterial strains for biological filtration
Stability is a specially selected bacterial strain that quickly and effectively starts the biological filtration process, preventing the most common cause of fish death, 'new tank syndrome'. The formula has been specially developed for marine and freshwater aquaria.
It contains a mixture of aerobic, anaerobic and facultative bacteria (able to carry out metabolic processes under both aerobic and anaerobic conditions), which accelerate the breakdown of organic matter, ammonia, nitrates and nitrites. Unlike other products of this type, Stability does not contain strains that produce hydrogen sulphide. It is safe for aquatic organisms (including plants) and cannot be overdosed. The development of its formulation took almost 10 years. Bacteria in similar formulations are characterised by limited robustness and low tolerance to changes in temperature, reaction, organic component levels, etc. If any of these parameters are outside the appropriate range, the bacterial cells quickly die. When using Stability, this risk does not occur, as there are no such bacterial strains present. The micro-organisms present have a wide range of tolerance to changes in environmental factors. The large amount of organic matter even stimulates them to grow and multiply more intensively. Stability is suitable for use in marine and freshwater tanks.
Directions for use:
when setting up a new tank, on the first day add 1 capful (5 ml) for every 10 litres of aquarium volume
later, for one week, add 1 capful per 80 litres of tank capacity
during this period you can start introducing fish and other aquatic organisms
then add 1 capful for every 40 litres of tank capacity once a month or during each water change, as well as when introducing new fish and after finishing the medication
