Aquael pond filter MAXI 1
Pond flow-through filter for ponds up to 10000L
MAXI series filters can be used in ponds or ponds. There are three types available from AQUAEL: MAXI - recommended for ponds up to 5,000L, MAXI 1 recommended for ponds up to 10,000L and SUPER MAXI for use in ponds up to 25,000L.
Depending on the installation method, MAXI pond filters can be used as:
- external filter, placed on the pond bank or over the outflow of a waterfall,
- an immersion filter, placed at the bottom of the pond with a pump attached to the cover, where it also functions as a fountain.
THE SET COMPOSITION
MAXI 1 filters are equipped as standard with a set of filter media: brushes, sponge, BIO MAX balls and coconut mat. The MAXI 1 filters have all the components necessary for both external and internal tank installation. In addition to the filter, the kit includes a pvc tube with rubber elbow, 3 nuts, 3 screws and a stand.
PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION:
The complete set of filter media filter MAXI 1 guarantees complete mechanical and biological filtration.
A UV lamp can also be fitted to the MAXI filter to further purify the water of algae and protect it from blooms. The UV lamp is not standard equipment on the MAXI 1 filter.
If the MAXI filter will be used as a fountain, place the pump on the filter cover using the pump base. Place the splash nozzle on the outlet of the pump and screw the nozzle included in the filter equipment onto the inlet. Then connect the pump with the elbows combined with the intake pipe, which takes the water already filtered from the bottom of the filter and ejects it through the nozzle above the water table.
When using the MAXI filter as an external filter, the purified water flows out through the bottom openings of the filter and is fed through hoses into the pond. Locating the filter above the waterfall allows one of the lower ends to be used for a waterfall or for a cascade. Care must be taken to ensure that the pump's intake points for filtering water and the outlet of already filtered water are sufficiently far apart.
FILTER MEDIA:
- brushes
- phenol-free sponge
- coconut mat,
- phenol-free sponge
- polypropylene balls.
These materials are placed in layers. Brushes are a very good material for pre-treatment, i.e. mechanical filtration. At the same time, they are an excellent substrate for the growth of living bacterial cultures.
The phenol-free sponge, is the next stage of mechanical filtration. It allows bacterial cultures, responsible for removing biological pollutants from the tank, to grow particularly easily.
Coconut mat, thanks to its suitable structure, is an excellent material for mechanical filtration is an excellent substrate for the bacterial cultures responsible for biological filtration.
The polypropylene spheres have ribs and small holes at both poles. The essence of the operation is the differentiation of oxygen conditions for biological processes. On the outer surface of the spheres there are oxygen conditions favourable for the oxidation of organic compounds. The inner surface of the sphere acts as an anoxic micro-reactor, where organic compound reduction processes take place, which in turn allows for very effective water purification, so that the pond water has the right biological parameters and is clear.
