AZOO KH PLUS 500ml
Safely increases carbonate hardness (KH).
AZOO KH PLUS is used for safe raising of carbonate hardness (KH). The product slightly raises the pH.
The carbonate hardness (KH) value is the most important value in an aquarium. Simply put, it determines the amount of dissolved carbonates and bicarbonates. The higher the KH value, the greater the buffer for pH, the lower the KH value, the smaller the buffer for pH. In contrast, the pH buffer determines the resistance of pH to changes. The lower the KH (smaller buffer), the easier it is to change the pH value for different factors, and vice versa, the higher the KH (larger buffer), the more difficult it is to change the pH. Factors that constantly affect the pH changes in the aquarium include natural daily changes in pH, the amount of dissolved CO2, decomposing organic matter, ammonia, carbonates from limestone, etc. In summary, KH hardness tells how easy or difficult it is to change the pH in an aquarium.
Fish, shrimps and plants do not tolerate large jumps in pH, usually this is manifested by enormous stress, timidity, shorter life, loss of color, decreased appetite, and in extreme cases death. That is why it is so important to study the water parameters, especially the KH buffer. The KH level can be measured with the AZOO KH TEST test.
We recommend KH values ββas below:
plant aquarium 4-6 KH
decorative aquarium, general 5-8 KH
9-14 KH marine aquarium
* these values ββserve as an example for beginner aquarists.
AZOO KH PLUS
Increases the value of KH.
Introduces and increases pH buffer.
Stabilizes the pH (limits pH jumps).
Increases the amount of dissolved CO2.
For freshwater, plant, marine and reef aquariums.
Available containers: 120ml, 250ml, 500ml, 20L.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
The optimal hardness in most planted aquariums is 3.5-5 KH. This value in aquariums with African and marine cichlids is 9-11 KH.
Use the AZOO KH TEST to monitor KH values.
30ml added per 100l of water will increase KH by 1 Β° dKH.
Increased hardness should not be higher than 2 Β° dKH per day.
Shake well before use and add at the inlet to the filter.
After use, turn tightly and keep away from sunlight.
The cap serves as a convenient measuring cup for measuring the preparation. 1 full cap = 20ml, small cup inside the cap = 5ml.
