Cascade filter with flow control

The VERSAMAX external filter is designed for water purification and aeration in marine aquaria and nano aquaria. Thanks to its high capacity, it provides intensive filtration of the aquarium water while taking up very little space. It is very quiet and easy to operate. VERSAMAX filters are designed for tanks from 50 to 300 litres.

Each filter consists of a filter cover, an overflow unit and a filter media container with a sponge cartridge. The VERSAMAX filter is characterised by its complete leak-tightness, as the entire filter container consists of a single part.

Description of operation
The filter should be hung on the aquarium wall, placing the intake tube inside the aquarium and the pump body outside. To start up, fill the filter container with water and then insert the plug of the connection cable into the mains socket. A correctly installed filter will suck the air out of the suction system shortly after switching on and start pumping the aquarium water. The pump output can be adjusted via a knob on top of the overflow unit over a wide range.

The water is drawn by the pump from the bottom of the aquarium, flows through the filter cartridges and is then poured back into the aquarium. The filter baskets allow easy replacement of the filter cartridges.

The filter capacity can be adjusted by a knob on top of the overflow unit. The angle of the filter can be adjusted with the knob.

Filter media:
The VERSAMAX filter media set includes a sponge cartridge as standard. The sponge cartridges are made of a special, phenol-free sponge on which bacterial cultures, responsible for removing organic pollutants from the aquarium, develop particularly easily. This guarantees, in addition to efficient mechanical filtration, excellent biological filtration.

The filter cartridges in the filter can be freely exchanged for other filter media for biological or chemical purification, or they can be combined, for example, with a sponge for mechanical filtration. When doing so, please note that the individual media should be arranged in equal layers in both parts of the filter cages. In addition, a MULTI UV-C steriliser can be used with the VERSAMAX filter.
